Head of Sales - Insurance

Job Purpose

The primary function of the role is to manage the sales of insurance products in the call center and online channels. The role is to make sure that the revenue targets are achieved and the agents are given the right guidance and product information on where to head to and how to head it.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet the revenue targets for both call center and online sales
  • Foresight to design and develop market strategy
  • Gain new business by identifying and exploiting opportunities in the local market
  • Manage the entire profit and loss of the insurance business
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, primarily insurance providers
  • Introduce new products and promote them to establish in the market
  • Guide the team on how to achieve targets
  • Develop and give feedback consistently on products
  • Develop a database of potential customers whose insurance is due to expiry
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) by keeping up-to-date with all changes in the regulatory framework
  • Make sure daily, monthly, and yearly sales revenue targets are met
  • Preparation of product information for the agents to call and communicate
  • Training and communication of products to the agents
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of new and existing products
  • Ensure credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors' products
  • Monitoring of daily leads vs target leads and potential DB collection
  • Monitoring of revenue percentage
  • Ensure post-sales service is taken care of and policies are issued on time with the proper liaison with the operations team.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50%
Experience: Mandatory 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry

Working Conditions
  • Sunday fixed off
  • Alternative Saturdays are normal working day
